In his third year of training with Suzy
Stafford, Solstice Farm, Hamilton
is again wintering in Ocala, continuing his driven dressage and
pleasure driving show careers, this season upgrading his vehicle
to his mama's antique butter yellow Studebaker carriage. Still a
bit immature physically, he continues in preliminary driven dressage
with the goal of moving up to Intermediate this summer. A new event for
all of us, yes, I rode along, was the CAA's D'Attelage Sporting Day of
Traditional Driving, where there is stationary turnout judging, cross
country driving difficulties (obstacles) judging, and a round of cones.
We nailed it in turnout, earning the best score of the day!

| After 15 years of
pleasure showing, we retired Sjaantje from carriage
pleasure driving competition at this show. Mike Rider honored us with a
lovely show arena retirement ceremony. Sjaantje's pink rose
blanket was a surprise gift from our long time trainer, Suzy Stafford. |
