 		     With Sjaantje showing so much driving talent, and myself having had such a fun and successful 2011 show year with trainer, Suzy Stafford of Stafford Carriage Driving, who excels in CDE driven dressage at the International level, my 2012 plans for 7 YO Friesian Tsjerk X Ritse mare, Sjaantje, was to earn her driving predicate title with Suzy as whip.  The driving predicate title is a new KFPS/FHANA program here in the US, and we were the trail blazers for this Friesian driving program, which required earning 10 points from scoring above 60% in FEI # 9 driven dressage tests before an "R" judge. Here in the US, this dressage test is offered only when a 100 x 40 m arena is available and generally is one of the three parts of a Combined Driving Event with the other two being the marathon and the cones sections. Finding such events proved to be a daunting task, especially those within our trailering distance comfort zone, but things fell nicely into place with several event organizers agreeing to add the FEI # 9 test.  On July 7, 2012 Sjaantje became Sjaantje Sport, having achieved the points needed for the driving predicate title with Suzy as whip and me as groom! Then I picked up her reins again, drove in our 1st CDE, entered our 1st IFSHA regional show, and competed for the 1st time at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA.

 Won the 2 driving classes
     Dreams Come True Farm's first 2012 public appearance was at the Harrisburg PA Horse Expo February 23-26th where Sjaantje and I participated daily in the Friesian Parade of Breeds demonstration, as an example of a driving Friesian hitched to a gig.  While at the expo, Sjaantje, ridden by Paige Lilly, participated in 3 Colleen Kelly bio-mechanics clinics,  and she and I were in 2 Curt Pierce [ Deep Creek Farm ] driving clinics: one about harnessing and the other navigating cones, which was thrilling. We also took Sjaantje's dam, Wiestke, who was ridden saddleseat in the Parade of Breeds by Cyndi Brumbaugh.
      For our first 2012 show we took our yearling Sape filly, Lillee, our 3 YO Teade filly, Fancee, and their dam, Wietske to the April 21st 3rd Mid-Atlantic Friesian Horse Classic held at Frying Pan Park in Herndon, VA. Our girls did us proud with yearling Lillee showing us she likes the show atmosphere and Wietske pleasing and surprising us all with her  achievements at her very first show after having had 8 consecutive foals. Fancee wowed the judge with her animated trot action during her liberty class and won the ground driving class.
     May 5-6 found us at the Keystone Classic held at Quentin, PA, to cheer Fancee on in her first under saddle class, trained and ridden saddleseat by Brook Sweigart of Sweigart Stables, Denver, PA. We were elated when Fancee won her w/t class Saturday and went on to win the w/t championship class on Sunday; obviously she impressed the judge with her powerful  and high reaching trot! In training with Brook for 4 months, Fancee's turned out for now, but will go to her 3 YO keuring October 3 at Iron Spring Farm in Coatesville, PA, October 3rd.
     Sjaantje's 2012 show season involved events where the FEI #9 Driven Dressage test was offered an able to earn points towards her FPS/FHANA Driving Sport Predicate.  We were able to participate in Suzy's 3 cones clinics, giving me much needed whip time in cones--it paid off because afterwards I won my next cones class;-)
